Old PPI

Hi. Had a mortgage with The Woolwich which included PPI. This moved to Barclays as we all know. I cleared the mortgage in March 2003. Is it too late to claim against PPI? Also, I'm not sure if I have the paperwork.

You can still make a complaint. Whether details still exist or not is something you wont know until you try.

Just be aware that most MPPI complaints fail. So, take a bit more time on your complaint reasons that you put in your letter. MPPI is generally regarded as a more important product (than loan or credit card PPI). It is covering a debt with lifestyle changing consequences if it goes unpaid. Unlike loan and credit cards. Today, MPPi is one of two types of PPI still retailed. So, whilst you can still complain and some people will succeed on those complaints, you generally need stronger complaint reasons and loan and credit card PPI.

How did you get on with woolwich ppi ? I've spoken to Barclays today and they say the ppi might not have been paid to them ( as it was took before they took over) not really sure who to contact next
