Dear All,

This is my first thread. I'm in the process of addressing Credit Card claims and PPI myself. Over the last few months I have received mail shots from a company called UK Money Solutions who are based in Birmingham regarding how they can claim on your behalf 25% plus VAT. I don't intend on using them but just want to know for all the users on this forum whether they are genuine. Any advise appreciated.

They will genuinely take 25% of your PPI claim for using the same template letters you would use yourself for free

Not sure why you ask whether they are "genuine"? Is this disguised spam?

I'd guess they're as genuine as all the rest.

Perhaps if they were really genuine, they'd explain that you can do it yourself for the price of a phone call and maybe a stamp

Is a CMC genuine?

A bit like asking if the Pope is a Protestant!

CMC's are going to be regulated by the FCA later this year and all of them are going to have to re-apply for their license.

The FCA rules are far more stringent on the "fit and proper" test and many will fail.

If you start your claim now with a CMC they may not be around by the time your case settles.
