CMC payment

My dad used a CMC to help him reclaim some mis-sold PPI, he unfortunately passed away last year and since this point I have been dealing with the bank directly over his claim. Does anyone know if I would still have to pay the CMC their 39% fee, as my dad agreed to use this company even though he has now passed away.

Yes. They will need to be paid from his estate, although it will be a lower priority debt.0

Any contract he signed prior to death ceases on death. However, any liability from that contract does still exist and should be paid from the estate. i.e. payment due for work done up to date of death or settlement of the claim.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
