i logged a claim with the ombudsman 5yrs ago ,i received a few replies apologising for the delay then today 30/4/2016 i got a letter from the Phoenix group ,wythall green way birmingham making me a settlement offer , they only deal in bank transfers , has anyone else received one of theses or is there a way i can see if it is legit , thanks

Well done. I think its genuine because Phoenix have accepted liability for Next PPI complaints. It was auto added when the account was opened and customers had to cancel it.

quick update ,today 11th may 2016 the phoenix group paid the money they said they would into my account ,so it took a while but I'm pleased

Do you mind me asking how far back your claim went? I am just in the process of establishing whether I had PPI on my account. If it turns out that I did would I submit a claim direct to Phoenix as has been suggested elsewhere, do you know?
