Changing from Virgin Broadband
Hi I'm getting Virgin installed soon (hopefully after some delays!) This is the first time broadband will have been put in the house so the delays were caused by cabling work outside. I'm going on an 18 month deal for broadband and TV. My question is in 18 months if I decide to switch (Eg to BT broadband and Sky) am I…

VOIP or Digital voice suggestions
I am just reviewing my broadband choices. We live in a rural area, and a couple of years ago were upgraded to FTTP for our broadband, with BT. Shortly afterwards our landline was changed to BT's Digital Voice service - so we no longer have anything coming to the property over the copper line. I'm just out of contract with…

O2 gauging ignores RPI
O2 price increase will be RPI plus 3.9% but they also say if RPI is negative 'we’ll only apply the 3.9%' like they're somehow doing us a favour. If RPI is negative, surely there's no need for a mid-contract inflation price hike. In fact, this policy is not only gauging and profiteering but also drives overall inflation…

Virginmedia landline - blocking nuisance / scam calls?
Grateful for any advice on blocking nuisance / scam calls from my dad's virginmedia landline. Despite being registered with the TPS, he's plagued with these calls. He's at a high risk of being scammed because he believes what callers tell him is true, despite all my efforts to convince him otherwise. If it's an obvious…

Landline Fault Compensation
Hi All, My Grandmother is with Vodafone for Broadband & Landline and a few weeks ago she had loss of landline service due to a BT Issue in the area (Landline just buzzing, constantly busy when trying to call) Raised with Vodafone and indeed an Openreach fault in the area and sounds like they have to dig the road up. Now…

Mobile dead spot in house
Moved to a new home. In parts of the house I often lose mobile signals or show very poor signal. I am with O2 and I also tried with EE SIM but both are same. Is there any way to get signal in these dead spots? The internet/broadband is fine which is coming via landline. My problem is that I am missing calls as people are…

I'm feeling hugely overwhelmed by the amount of choice available for TV and broadband packages. Please can anyone give me some advice on where on earth to start!? Our current supplier is BT. Target price Virgin Media
I see VM have been (until Feb 5) offering their Big Bundle to new customers for £29.99 per month. That covers 264mbps broadband, freeview channels, TV 360 box and weekend calls. What do you reckon is a realistic target price for existing customers after the latest mid-contract price rise. I currently pay £34 a month for…

Can no longer afford O2 package
Hi - any advice for my granddaughter - she's 22, was working as a chef but has had to stop as she is 5 months pregnant, living at home with mum who has a slipped disk and is unable to work or do anything physical. She is only entitled to £240 a month to live off on benefit before the baby is born, and £139 of this goes to…
