Virgin Media contract ends in June. Sign up to Sky now or later?

I'm looking to leave Virgin Media as my introduction offer is ending
soon so my price is jumping up a lot. I'm currently being offered Sky
Stream + Sky Sports + 500Gb broadband for £64/month. My Virgin Media
contract ends on 6th June so I'm wondering whether I should sign up to a
Sky deal now or wait a bit?

Have you tried asking Virgin for a better offer. Usually pretty good.
We ended up with same deal for £4 a month more instead of the double it would have been. Yes it means another 18 month contract, but could be cheaper than Sky.
Bit pointless signing up to sky now, as you will still be paying Virgin till June. Not forgetting the 30 day notice.Life in the slow lane0 -

Would I be charged straightaway? I was thinking and hoping I could sign up now but set an installation date in June and get billed then.0 -
I'd hold off with Virgin for now. You may have spoken to their standard call centre, but the cancellations team are who you need.
We had a package at £85 ish which included 500mb dl speed, a full TV package, sports and cinema in HD, Netflix, 2 boxes, anytime calls etc. We were told it would be going up to about £168 in March, got in touch with Virgin and they said best they could do was about £140, so I told them I'd be cancelling. A couple of days later I got an offer of all the same stuff* for £70 a month (*excludes BT sport as they have split it from the sports package. I think that would be about £17 a month so slightly more expensive but not bothered for it anyway). We were in last couple of week sof contract though. We went with that deal.
If your contract isn't up until June, then they probably won't be offering you a great deal just yet, but I'd try within the last 30 days of your contract ending and see what they say. If you get a quote from Sky you can use that to negotiate with Virgin as well. I'd be surprised if you don't get more for a similar price from VM. £70 seems their standard rate.1 -
I've already put my notice in to cancel VM. I pay around £75 for 500mb broadband + SS + TNT. Someone from their cancellation team called and said the best price they can offer is around £75.

If you click on the renewal email and log onto the app / website . If you say no it brings up a lower price . Think you can say no 3 times . It knocked £10 + of my bill so would be same as now £50.
i asked for broadband only and was told £64 !!!
now looking at toob £25 and what other tv package . I like the idea of recording as get overwhelmed with the streaming choice and save search parameters0
