Sim card help please
Hello all Mse's. I have recently joined o2 on a sim only at £12 pm. The guy from virgin signed me up at the same time as joining Virgin...fine. I explained to the guy in my home, that I wasn't a fan of virgin mobiles as I had a previous bad experience regarding me receiving my bill before I even got the sim. The guy…

Beware Lebara local calls while roaming
I have unlimited UK calls, texts,15GB data and 100 international minutes. While roaming in Czech republic I should have calls from Zone1 to Zone1 , i.e. local calls in Czech republic as UK calls which means they should be included in my unlimited minutes. However, I discovered that while making local calls my International…

Consumer law on iphone with failed antenna :-( (EE)
So, my iphone 13 is now about 18 months old and after some self diagnostics and a trip to the Apple Genius bar at Milton Keynes it appears that the antenna has a physical problem and the ballpark figure to replace is £500ish PLUS VAT. Now, apple say if i'd bought from them, I'd have been covered as they automatically add a…

02 to 02
I'm with 02 on a SIM only deal. The original contract is now rolling. I've noted that for unlimited calls and texts and 30gb of data, that the cost has drifted from £10 to £13.17. I note when I browse Uswitch that there are several 02 deals there that are better suited to me. So in an ideal world I'd be switching from 02…

Government Alarm sounded this morning - system hacked already?
I jumped out of my skin this morning (10.11am) when my phone started the alarm siren squawk during my daily walk in the forest. My phone had been on since yesterday afternoon. Startled, I simply banged the OK button - the text was too tiddly for me to read without reading specs so I've no idea what it said, but I don 't…

Virgin (on the ridiculous) mobile rounding up RPI increase to 20.0%
Just checking my bill, the increase seemed excessive. They declared a 17.3% increase by text message, but then applied 20.0%. I thought I'd flag it up in case this is endemic. I complained using the online chat, and ended up with a cheaper contract with more data, and 30 days notice. Go figure... Not sure if they will…

Roaming Comments
A couple of points I noticed from reading the main article : For Three, if you have use the Go Roam option, you still have to pay £5 per day to access it. If you are with O2 and Virgin (VOLT) you get the free upgrade to your mobile contract to include worldwide roaming (as well as double data).

Does RPI increase allow me to cancel?
We have an O2 contract via Virgin Media. The contract with O2 is now going up due to the RPI increase on the line rental. Does this trigger my right to cancel the contract within 30 days of the change in price? Or is this something that I would have missed in the T&Cs when signing up?

O2 fraud - absolutely useless.
Hi, At around Christmas, someone took out three O2 accounts in my name + address. As soon as I became aware of this (early January) I informed O2 who said they would investigate. Over the last there months I have received a succession of increasingly threatening letters about the unpaid accounts. At each point I have…

Ideas for next switch please
Hi,I switched (and ported) from Giffgaff to Lebara on a 1p per month for 6 months and am now paying the £4.90. Pretty much seamless experience and quite happy with them. I'm very keen not to lose "my number" but the best deals at the moment seem to be with Lyca which seems not to have the best reputation if things go…

Weird number spoofing MMS messages received
I've received recently a number of messages which SEEM to be from a person I've been doing some work for but are not really from him. They are received by SMS and appear to be multimedia messages which I can only access via a link in the message which takes me to an EE web page, where I log in using my mobile number and a…

Can't PAC From Vodafone to Lebara
Not sure if this is just Vodafone rep telling porkies or not...but here goes! Am currently on a Voda contract and got a text yesterday to say my contract has completed as well as my discount period. Looked around for a cheaper contract and found the Lebara deals on here. Bought into one and ordered my PAC from Voda. Got a…

iPhone 13 best deal by miles not listed.
I was looking for an iPhone 13 contract with no upfront cost so I went on this site to identify the best deal. MSE said the best deal was with Three at £39 per month. Luckily I mentioned it to my friend who said that was a terrible deal and that Tesco were offering the same phone for £32.99. I went onto the Tesco mobile…

'Banking' phone?
Hey guys, I very nearly lost my phone today, fortunately somebody handed it in and on it I type this message :) ... But this got me thinking, a, few people I have seen on the savings and investments board mentioned they use a separate phone for a lot of banking stuff that's not day to day. For example, on my carry around…

Mobile phone stolent - way to block handset / what have you learnt
Hi all, When you have your mobile phone stolen, you're often unprepared and it makes you think very differently about things. I've just had mine stolen, and whilst i've immediately got on to things, blocked the sim, disabled apps and changed passwords etc., that still doesn't stop the phone actually being accessed (which I…
