EE mobile reduced monthly?
Just checking if the phone call I have just had from EE offering a reduction in monthly bills for my two sims with no loss of extras(Apple TV, TNT Sport etc) is genuine or not. Have other people had such calls. I have finished my two year contract with them and the foreign gentleman said it was not a new contract, just…

Lebara free roaming doesn't include calls to EU numbers
I just discovered that Lebara UK's interpretation of free roaming in the EU is that while you are in an EU country you can use your UK minutes allowance for calls from/to the UK only. Calls to local/EU numbers are chargeable. After quite some time chatting to customers service, they instructed me to read carefully what the…

LEBARA
I was so pleased to get the super deal with a Lebara SIM on MSE. However I have had nothing but trouble in the over two weeks I have had it. I even got a replacement SIM from Lebara and still having trouble. I really needed a company that had free roaming in Europe. I have ordered a new SIM from O2 and as soon as that…

UK SIM only for use in Australia
I've been with Three for years on a SIM only contract for £8 month. I'm living in Australia and want to retain my UK number just for incoming texts, UK apps and don't have need for the unlimited calls, texts and data. I purchased a Lebara £4 SIM only to find it will not function in Australia like Three. I would have to…

Using my mobile phone in the usa
I will be travelling to the United States later this year. My UK provider, O2 tell me that my my mobile phone, a Motorola Mota G(8), is not compatible with the American mobile networks. However, at the same time they seem to want me to purchase a "bolt-on" for £6 per day and they say I can use this in the States. I am now…

Lebara SIM deal requires turning off adblocker
I purchased the recent SIM deal with Lebara - which included a £40 voucher. However, in an email received after the purchase regarding the voucher, in the T&C, it says the voucher will be sent up to 180 days after purchse, and "If you use adblocking software, a VPN, or have cookies disabled on your device, the sale may not…

VirginMedia > O2: New App?
I’m about to be switched from VM to O2 and have been wondering whether I need to replace my VM app (for billing, account info, etc.) with an O2 one. I’m guessing not as I haven’t seen any advice about this in any of my emails from VM, but I’m just wondering whether anybody knows for sure. Thanks.

First time PAC
I'm going to do my first ever port, and so don't know what preparations I will have to do. Do the three main apps (Contacts, Messages, and Phone) have data on the SIM? If so, what do I need to do in order to keep the information? I can see that Contacts has an Export option, but what about the other two apps?

UK SIM to use abroad
Hi My son has now moved to Sweden (from the UK) for work. He currently has a Smarty SIM on a rolling monthly contract (SIM only). He gets 100GB of data in the UK and this is limited to 12GB in Sweden. He can't make 'international' calls using that SIM unless he has some credit on the SIM - it doesn't come out of any…

Roaming Withdrawn Mid-Use
We all have to live glued to our mobiles now. Not for old fashioned phone calls (I never do that) but for one-time-passcodes and two-factor-authentication in order to get anything done or paid for. So, sympathy please for this scenario in which I find myself: I have an MSE blagged Lebara SIM; it’s great, very cheap, 4Gb…

Celebrating the small wins - I followed the MSE recommendation and saved!
Hi - Just sharing a small win I made last week, after following MSE advice on mobile phone contracts and SIMs. My long-term contract with Tesco Mobile expired a few months ago. Inertia had set-in and I did nothing about upgrading or shopping around. Then I saw the MSE tips and recommendations, and did some easy research of…
