Is it best to buy a 5g phone
I'm looking to buy a new phone but I cannot decide if I need 5g so is it worth buying a 5g phone and turning the 5g off or are 4g phones better. I do have 5g in my area.

Lebara Referrals don't get paid.
I was happy with this company until I referred a friend in December last year. My reward is still "pending" despite my friend having signed up months ago. Their customer service is rubbish, the woman on the live chat just tried to fob me be telling me to read the website. After I pointed out I'd done all that and just…

Hi, am on ID Mobile and its ok. Useable for mostly all my needs, although i am struggling with lack of 4g well any g at our local race circuit. I was thinking of maybe grabbing an eSim to use for just the data, someone like Lyca Mobile as they use EE and i know EE network coverage is okay at the circuit. I've not had a pay…

Lebara switch - where is £40?
I changed to Lebara in mid September through MSE - my monthly plan is £6.90 and the offer included a £40 voucher (I think for Amazon). I am happy with Lebara and the plan - but have not had the £40 nor can I find evidence of this in the email that confirms my purchase. Can anyone advise the best way to chase this up? The…

Is it legal to only offer a replacement or repair if a faulty used phone is sold? The local trader insisted on a cash-only transaction.

Lebara international calls
Do beware of this-I tried to call the Swedish government passport office (Polisen) today but the call wouldn't go through. I called Lebara who said I can only call personal numbers not business numbers, but the only way to make the call would be to get a PAYG simcard! I put some credit on Skype where it was 3.7p a minute.…

How to cancel an old SIM
I have 2 mobile phones and 2
sims. I swapped the sim cards around. So Sim 1 (older) is in Phone 2 (newer
and not paid off Galaxy A33). Sim 2 (newer) is in Phone1 (older
and paid off Galaxy A40). Having talked to Tesco mobile
for a long time. It appears that, if I want to scrap Sim1 as I don’t really use
it, I have to pay…

Talk Home is the provider. Last year I signed up for a £3 deal, I know there was issues at the time with people getting misbilled but I have the email saying £3 a month, not £3 for X amount of time. Until October I was billed correct but stupid me didn't check until January at which point I contacted them and was told they…

Lebara: International Texts
I'm on the 5GB plan - just discovered today that international texts aren't included in the plan. I probably should've spotted that when signing up. Maybe I thought that EU roaming covered it.

Pixel 5, 4G calling, SIM only deal wanted.
I'm currently on Lebara and since Vodafone's 3G switch off I've suffered from poor quality calls. Lebara don't support 4G calling for my Pixel 5 so I'm looking for a new provider. Spusu only do 4G for iPhone and some Samsungs so they're out. Can anyone tell me if Smarty could be ok for me? 5GB a month is plenty and they…

Moving to smartphone
Most of what I need is based from PC and landline so I've managed with an old dumbphone PAYG Samsung as my mobile. I only pay about £4/month landline calls mostly using an over-ride number to bypass BT landline, and my mobile is mainly used for PIN numbers! However, more and more services require smartphones, so I was…

More O2 issues
Due to a bereavement I needed to migrate one of my late wifes telephone numbers on to my new account that O2 stated i needed to open to keep the number, that was duly done on 12th April, they stated it would take 10-12 days for the transfer, on 26th April the number went dead so I knew they were moving the number from one…

Was a service provided if it hasn't been used?
Under UK consumer law, if I order a new mobile contract, do not activate the SIM, and then return it within 14 days, can the mobile company claim a pro-rata payment for the 14 day cooling off period? Article 105 of EU Directive 2018/1972 (still British law post Brexit if I'm not mistaken) states "Where an end-user has the…

THREE advertises plans without VAT - is that even legal?
Hi, I recently got myself a contract with Three for £22 per months, but when the first bill arrived, the charge was £26.40 - apparently the price advertised was without VAT, so the actual price was 20% higher. It is not a business plan, is it even legal in this country to advertise without VAT? There was no small print or…
