split port issue
Hi all, so i think i have a split port problem. Around 15 months ago i switched to either lyca or smarty (can't remember which) and then had problems with some calls going straight to answerphone without ringing, and some text messages not getting through. I thought it was poor services from Lyca, so switched to Spusu.
On and off, I still get the same problems. some text messages not getting through, and some calls to me going direct to answerphone. Sometimes, when I ring out to certain numbers, I also get 'call ended' immediately too. I tried to ask about my current provider (spusu) about it, but they said the previous provider was the most likely problem. I tried them but had no luck in getting anywhere whatsoever.
I want to switch to a new phone and contract with ID, but feel these issues will follow me.
Is there any way to resolve this? I've heard temporarily porting to your original number supplier can fix it, but is there any way I can check who that was? It was years ago.

Sorry not an expert on this but it does sound like this is your problem. You can find your original provider through your number. I remember seeing a post on this particular forum recently. Worth a forum search.
