Cheap camera phone.

Hi, I do the odd mystery job which requires screenshots, financial ones naturally have security built in.

Could somebody please suggestor recommend a cheap phone that takes a decent picture?

It is purely the camera I need, no contract or sim etc.

Many thanks.

    What about a Moto G14?
It's a steal at the current price:

  • You mention screenshots, the camera doesn't take screenshots.

Would a cheap camera be an option for taking pictures or must it be a phone?
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

I get the impression the OP wants to take shots of screens within financial apps where the phone's own screenshot function is disabled for security reasons? I've used my tablet for this in the past. OP: have you got a tablet?

A cheap camera may be just as good yes.

Ah, OK, I misunderstood.  I initially thought the OP needed to take photos of premises as part of mystery shopping.
I now see it is photos of the actual phone being used to test an online service, but the phone screen shot is disabled.
A budget camera rather than phone might be a better solution.

Yes thats right. I am currently using an old tablet to take pictures and then transferring those to my phone but the quality isn't ideal.

Most of these tasks have to be app based, I've asked about doing them via online banking but no it must be via the app.

You could pick up a cheap camera for less than the price of the Moto G14 mentioned in the first reply.

    Thanks, I'll look at that.

The tablet I'm using is just about making the grade but ideally I'll find a better quality picture.

How about a visit to your local High Street mobile repair shop? The one that has dozens of refurbs in the window?

Might have something for less than the £50 that a cheap camera might cost and with a better spec, and they should let you try the phone's camera to see if it suits.
