Argentinian Pesos - Western Union
I learnt yesterday that Argentina operates two exchange rates. The ‘red’ official rate and the ‘blue’ rate on the black market. The difference is huge (250-480) and debit/credit cards would be the official ‘red’ rate. This means that for the first time in absolutely yonks I’ll be avoiding my usual cards and getting cash.…

Being shafted by a travel company, what are my rights and what can I do?
I've just had a holiday in Vietnam. During the holiday we booked domestic flights with VietJet Air through a UK travel company called MyTrip. The flights were on 01/03/2023 at 11:10am. A week before the flight, I received notification that the flight had been changed to 06:40am. This was inconvenient for us, so I sought to…

Friendly reminder if you've used a BA Companion voucher recently, double check on your account!
During the BA January 2023 sales earlier this year they had some "self admitted" IT problems when I phoned them, due to large demand on the website. If you have booked a flight with a companion voucher then, double check it has been "used". I saw on my account that it was still there and they had charged me more AVIOS…

APT - who to claim from
Due to some bad news my brother and his wife were unable to fly to New York with the rest of the family on a recent trip. It was too late to change the booking and was non refundable. Ex-EU departure: protecting myself against Ryanair delay
I am planning a long-haul journey. The best way to begin it is with a cheap Ryanair flight from my local airport to Malaga, scheduled to arrive just over five hours before my long-haul departure.
