Vouchers not refund

Hello I hope someone out there in Forum land might be able to advise on this issue. My son is in Thailand and had arranged flights to Bogota. Phillippine Airlines have contacted him to say they are changing flights. This is a problem for his connections which he will miss. They have offered vouchers not a cash refund. Vouchers are of little use as he is unlikely to use Phillippine Airlines again. Any ideas on his rights and what action he should or shouldn't take. Thanking you in advance for any advice given.

Doyou mean that the flight times have changed, affecting the connection in Manila? The trip should still be possible, perhaps with longer connection time necessitating a hotel stay. What has he been offered and why is he now unable or unwilling to travel? Perhaps the situation does not qualify for a refund.

  • Thank you for your response I asked my son for more info. He said hopefully it may work out as he put in a " change request" which has been accepted?? Fingers crossed he'll be ok. Thank you for your time once again.
