Jet2 Hand luggage

From here
It says
You can also bring a small, personal item on board (such as a handbag, laptop bag or airport purchase), as long as it is placed underneath the seat in front of you. Please note that you cannot drink any alcohol purchased at the airport (or beforehand) during the flight.

Does anyone have any experience as to how small is small?
I have a 17" laptop that I travel with. I usually put it in the 56x45x25 bag that we take on EJ or RY but also have a 'small' laptop case measuring 45x32x12
Dare I risk that?

That will likely be fine, they just dont want people taking the mickey. People happily get on planes with bags loaded with duty free fags and booze on top of a backpack or whatnot,

A 56x45x25 bag to me is an overhead size bag and not an under seat size, so assume you mean this as your main carry on. At 45x32x12, I wouldn't call that a small laptop case but should at least fit under the seat, could be classed as the additional small personal item in addition to your carry on luggage given the text you extracted.

As long as it comfortably fits under the seat in front without impeding either your feed or the passengers in front then you will have met their rules.

For comparison purposes, the maximum 'under seat' bag sizes quoted by the other prominent budget carriers are 45 x 36 x 20 (EasyJet) and 40 x 20 x 25 (Ryanair), so if EasyJet consider that a bag larger than yours is appropriate for storage under the seat, it should be physically possible....
  • If a laptop bag is quoted in their guidelines - presumably a laptop meets the criteria ?

I tried Whatsapp chat and ....

Hello! You're chatting with Jordan, I'll be helping you out today.

Yes, that should be fine. There are no set dimensions or weight for the extra "personal item" bag, though common sense suggests it is obviously smaller and lighter than your main bag. A laptop case is one of the suggested examples, though!

I hope this answers your query.
