Gatwick Airport Long Stay Car Parks

Since the pandemic parking costs at both Gatwick North and South Long Stay Car Parks has risen enormously. If travelling from London or the Midlands the car parks where you leave your car and get a courtesy bus in are some easy out many of which you have to actually pass the Airport turn off to drive to. By the time one had checked in and returned to the airport this add nearly an additional hour to get to and from the Airport. Are there any car parks to the South of the Airport or Bed and breakfast establishments, where you can leave your car for the duration of your holiday and be taken and picked up from Gatwick. This may work out cheaper than paying for 10 or 14 days at the Long Stay Car parks. The issue is a real problem if your flight leaves early morning when Public transport is not fesible

Iconcur the price of parking at Gatwick Long Stay is now exorbitant. However other options care limited if you have an early morning flights. I believe some small Band b offer an overnight stay and transport to and from the Airport and will be looking to find one as alternative next time we fly out from Gatwick terminal for a holiday0

Gatwick long stay parking price rises steeply as you get closer to departure. I booked 10 months early this summer for about £70, my friend booked a few weeks out and had to pay £130. Book as early as you can and have a search for discount codes, usually 10 or even 20 percent off available.
I find the service pretty good and there is never more than a few minutes between transfer busses.0 -
I concur with @basill - we booked for 8 days in the Gatwick long stay for around £70 in April. Stayed at Premier Inn on the ring road (not the one right by the airport) and it was all very convenient. Dropped OH and kids at the Premier Inn, drove to the long stay, caught the bus back to the terminal and walked about 5 mins back to the Premier inn. OH took our hold luggage for a twilight drop the night before. All very easy and economical.
Many other nearby carparks take your key. I'd never allow that - seen far too many Rogue Traders etc with cars being driven around, parked in random roads etc...0 -
There's loads of B&Bs in Horley which have parking, I stayed at the Gatwick Turret, decent enough place, bit dated, but fine for a night. Cost £60 for a single room, didn't have a car but they have a big carpark and offer parking deals, not sure how much it costs. Bus stop right outside for buses to the airport, but as I was travelling light I took a pleasant morning walk to the airport along the Gatwick Stream, took under 30 mins IIRC.
