Beware Manchester airport Meet & Greet price increase

We booked Terminal 1 M&G for 4 weeks in March for £219.
Just tried booking for 4 weeks from Friday and they are quoting £366.
That's an increase of 67% !!!
There's crtainly a cost-of-living crisis but how can they possibly justify this?

The first booking was 6 months in advance.
The proposed second booking is 6 days in advance.
Prices go up the longer you leave it. Always been the case0 -
I'm sorry but you have misunderstood - maybe I wasn't clear.
The first booking was for LAST March and was made 18 days in advance in mid-Feb.
My point is perfectly valid.0 -
That wasn't obvious by your post, no.
I just put 4 weeks from Friday into a website and got a price for the terminal 2 M&G for £254. Yes it's not T1 but it's a covered walkway between terminals and if you want to save £100 it's perhaps worth doing. Which website are you looking on?0 -
Meet and greet at Manchester airport has been a major problem for years. Lots of dodgy companies parking cars in fields, streets etc....Buyer beware.

I'm not sure where you guys are looking but I have just tried M&G Terminal 2 for the same 4 weeks and it's quoting 379 - worse than terminal 1.
These prices are from the official Manchester airport website.
There are a few unofficial outfits that call themselves meet & greet but I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.
Plenty of nightmare reviews
By the way - I am not a "she" when I last looked !0 -
OK sorry for misgendering you 🙄
Where am I looking? Holiday Extras. Search parameters were this Friday 6am until 4 weeks later (20th Oct) at 9am, obviously I may be a few hours out as you didn't specify times.
If it doesn't give you the discount create an account and then search, come out the website without buying and you should get a discount code link via email.0 -
Thanks.
I know it looks like it, but are you absolutely sure this is the official M&G.
Even the 288 is almost 100 less than on the airport website.
Anyway, we have booked a taxi now at about £150 for the return trip, saves our petrol too.0 -

The M&G at T2 is great, on top floor of the multi storey.
Drop off the car and it's about 40 yards mostly undercover into departures.
Whereas at T1 it's about 200 yards to the terminal and then upstairs or a lift to departures.0
