Energy Supplier Confusion & Warrant Threat, Advice Needed
Hi everyone this is my first post here. I purchased a flat in England in June 2022 and have had ongoing issues trying to set up an energy account. When I moved in, I attempted to sign up with several suppliers, but none were accepting new customers. SSE was identified as the supplier, but when I contacted them (primarily…

Best choice for electric car tariff?
Really confused atm with all the rises. Have currently Intelligent Octopus Go for the car , and Octopus 12M Fixed for the gas . With the rises on the electric side would it be any better for me to go to a fixed and get rid of the bespoke car tariff ?

Choice to Make
Hi, my fixed tariff with EDF ends on the 31st March. My annual gas usage is 11837kwh & electric 2179kwh. EDF are offering 2 tariffs, a one year tracker extra at £129.37 per month or a two year fix at £135.60 per month. I'm not sure which one to choose as the tracker cost will change with the price cap whereas the fix will…

Help please
I am affected by RTS switch off. I am with British Gas. They sent out 2 engineers to install Smart Meter. Both said I can't have one as I have two meters and two fuse boxes. They said I need a 2ratemeter. BG said they don't supply this and I will need to get my house rewired to accommodate smart meter. Obviously I can't…

Smart meter doesn't send info to supplier
I was forced to have a smart meter for electricity by Ovo last year, after a short time the meter stopped sending info. It was installed in a cupboard / alcove and I guess that the signal wasn't strong enough. After several visits to sort it out Ovo gave up and told me to send manual readings. In August I switched to…

Confusing Cheap Energy Club email
"The new April to June Energy Price Cap ... will be announced. It's predicted to rise by 5-7% (1). If the data we have for you is right, you're on a Price Capped Direct Debit tariff. If so, I'm concerned if you leave it till then to sort it, it will be too late" Yes, I am on a Price Capped tariff which I can't leave until…

EDF Gas - not being charged
EDF haven't charged me for gas since October. I emailed them months ago to say the smart meter seems to be faulty but they replied to say it is working. I've since emailed multiple times telling them they're only charging me the standing charge for gas but each time they say I'm being charged correctly. Asking for my case…

Anyone with Ebico Living?
Anyone with them at the moment heard about any price increase on Oct 1st? I'm with British Gas PAYG smart-meter tariff at the moment and thinking of jumping over to Ebico Living (saving myself a good £120 a year). It seems to be the only PAYG tarfif that's cheaper than their DD tariff so I'm sticking being on pre-paid for…

RTS switch off Economy 7
I read an Ofgem article over the weekend about the switch off of RTS. We have Economy 7 as our house is all electric (no gas in the village and it was all electric when we bought it). We installed new Dimplex Quantum heaters a couple of years ago. With careful use and timers on virtually everything we use 85% on the night…

British Gas can't Math
Hi all, A warning to check your bills are arithmetically correct. 3 British Gas Customer Service agents later and it's clear they don't issue calculators at that company. Basically, add up the figures on the right and make sure the total is correct for Gas and Electric, because the 'system' doesn't understand what a credit…
