Electricity Meter tariff

Options
I recently used Cheap Energy Club. It came up with Outfox Energy as a cheaper alternative, compared to Fuse Energy who we are currently with. We have an Economy 7 meter but are on a single rate tariff with Fuse. When I tried to apply to Outfox, their website would only allow two rate options as that is what my meter is, as listed on the national database. Bit daft, as under a single rate the two readings are combined and charged as one rate. Lost business I'm afraid and you've Outfoxed yourselves!

Get the meter changed to a smart meter and you'll not have a problem.

British Gas are punishing low users. My electricity bill £35 for electric, £16 standing charge it’s outrageous.

Assuming your on variable tariff - BG sets neither your unit rate or your standing charge - or at least they dont if they simply follow the Ofgem cap

Have you tried phoning them and asking if they will operate an old E7 dual rate meter on SR ?

Its possibly they legally may not have to since July 1st - and arguably didnt have to for old E7 metering - as that specifically excluded from Ofgem's RRMI protection - and the last time I checked the previous extension for RRMI protection expired this year - June 30th, same date as the extended cut off for RTS (but done 5 years or so earlier - so it probably set the date for the RTS extension, rather than other way round).
