Uplighter bulb problem
We have an uplighter with a built in dimmer switch and it uses a double ended linear halogen bulb. It doesn't say what wattage it is, but the lamp says maximum 300W so the bulb is probably close to this. When I switch the lamp off our meter really noticably slows down so I really want to try and replace this bulb. Does…

nPower price increase Jan 2011
I am totally, totally incenced with the recent notification and publicity that nPower have put out. The press inform us that the price rise equates to 5% (ish), but in reality, if you've elected to join a lower-rated tariff like me (Sign on-line 18), the true increase of the rise is 26.4% amounting to around £250 in my own…

First Utility – A different question
I know there has been some lengthy discussions regarding the poor quality of service offered by First Utility on this forum. I am thinking about switching to them, purely on cost grounds, but I wanted some very specific feedback from customers that have been with them for some time. So, if you have been on their iSave Dual…

We have storage heaters and they are on econoomy 7. They have never been particularly cheap to run. Using 27 units of electricity per day?
Hello everyone. Out electricity bills are extortionately high for a two bedroom flat, partly because we were with Spark energy (28.8p/unit, anyone?). We've since switched to nPower and while the bills are cheaper I think we're using far too many units. We're using a little over 27 units a day. Doesn't that equate to more…

N Power gas price split
I have just got my duel fuel bill from n power. I know of the price increases to come in January but this bill has changes made to the cost split. On my previous bill the first 103 kWh were at 7.366p but this latest bill it is the first 1735 kWh at 7.366p. This has added £90 to the bill. Can they do this without notifying…

Npower - Bad customer services
I have had a bad experience with npower, I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with them? I switched provider (from npower to british gas) around a month ago, and I have rang them up on numerous occassions to pay off my gas + elec final bills. I paid off my electric on 25/Nov/2010, then had a letter from them…
