Prepayment meter hell!
Options
I have recently moved into a new property and it has prepayment for both gas and electricity with npower. I have asked to switch to monthy direct debit but have been told, not politely, that I am not eligible as a new customer and have to have prepay for a year in case I run off without paying? I have a good credit score but they won't budge. It's costing me an absolute fortune. Any advice on how to get transfered to Direct debit?
Many thanks

They will give you the option to pay to have them changed, think its £65 a meter. Its due to it been a none essential meter appointment.0

have you been a customer of another supplier at a different property? if so, they may agree to change you for free...eon are doing that for me next week!
if not, it may be worth stumping up the charges, ring round a few first so you have an idea, if they will put the cost on your first bill, and you set up DD straight away, you will probably still save money by 6 months inGetting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg
