Economy 7 Tariffs
Does anyone know if any of the electric suppliers just offer a 2 tier rate tariff for E7.
Basically
Day rate xxx p per unit
Night rate (E7 ) xyz per unit
as opposed to
First xxx kwh abc pence
Additional kwh xyz pence
Night rate kwh 123 pence
Realise that day rate will obviously be higher than the night but why the need for 2 different types of day rate.

Hi stickman - Those DAY units for which you pay a higher price, are your suppliers way of collecting the Standing Charge (The number of units charged this way is fixed per Annum or Quarter)
All suppliers either do this or levy a fixed charge per day0 -
Ebico are a supplier that does not have a standing charge or a primary and secondary rate. However, the rate being a single rate is quite high and only suitable for low usage.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
