eBay "Buyer Protection Fees" (New charges for buyers from private sellers) - Details just recieved
Just got my details from eBay. Long story short, putting up private sellers items by 4% of the item price, plus £0.75 and taking it iff the top themselves. Hardly unexpected! :/

'feedback revisions available'
despite ebay failing to meet their deadline to switch private sellers to simple delivery- it looks like they have started to bring in other planned changes as well today. We have the automated feedback system - thread here: eBay automated feedback gone live — MoneySavingExpert Forum and I've just noticed that my feedback…

Incorrect return address issue
I have lived at three addresses the entire time I have been buying/selling on eBay. Neither of my old addresses are on file with them anymore and a CSA confirmed they'd been removed and were not visible on my buyers or sellers page their end. However every one in ten/twenty listings I make seems to default back to one of…

Deliveries not being delivered!
I’m probably just being silly, but I’m getting annoyed by couriers just dumping stuff outside the front door. The Amazon man does not even ring the doorbell. Apart from the risk of the goods being stolen, the stuff sitting there is advertising that there’s nobody in, which increases the risk of breaking in. Of course, I…

Options for mispacked eBay parcel
Hands up totally my fault. A week ago I sold and posted a bulk lot of Warhammer on eBay to a buyer in USA (I'm in the UK) and it is been sent via global shipping programme. It is currently waiting to leave eBay's hub. Today I've found 1 thing that should have been in the parcel which I evidently missed when packing…

A problem with the Amazon returns system
I seem to have found a problem with Amazon's system for returning items. It seems the only way now is to take it to a partner retailer or Post Office along with a QR code they give you and they sort it. The problem is I tried the main Post Office and four retailers in my town and all came up with virtually the same…

It looks like the trading allowance is going to be raised from £1000 to £3000 in a future year. Threshold for filing ‘side hustle’ tax return to rise to £3,000 in UK This article doesn't give a date, but I've seen dates as early as 26-27 being suggested.

Zenmarket - Credit Card Cash Advance Fee?
Can anyone advise whether depositing funds into Zenmarket in order it bid on auctions is treated as a cash advance by their credit card, either depositing directly or via PayPal? (I know Zenmarket charge 1%, but this is apparently refunded along with the funds if they are withdrawn without winning any auctions, so you only…

Inpost acquires Yodel
Inpost have acquired Yodel https://www.cityam.com/inpost-acquires-competitor-yodel-to-become-uks-third-largest-delivery-firm/ it will be interesting to see how this affects the eBay simple delivery as eBay hasn’t included either Yodel or Inpost ,and also the Vinted model where both are included. It will also be interesting…

How much must something be worth before trying to sell it in the first place?
Hi there. I am a non-commercial occasional seller and am trying to declutter my house at the moment - not only to free up some space but because I could do with the extra money at the moment. From a non-commercial point of view, are there any general guides as to considering whether something is worth selling or not? E.g.…

Yodel parcel not picked up
I (probably for the last time) bought a Yodel label from EBay last week. Dropped off and have receipt e-mail. The only tracking update is “we came to collect your parcel but wasn’t available. Please rearrange your collection “. This from 6 days ago. Anyone else seen this, am I supposed to do something, I presume they would…

eBay watchlist sorting
My ebay watch list is now (for some time) sorted itself by items most recently added first rather than items ending soonest first. This has caused me (and also the sellers) to miss out on quite a few auctions now. Is there any way to change the setting?

ebay unpaid item strangeness
I accepted a best offer on an item over a week ago. Buyer has not paid or responded to messages. The odd part, on the 'order details' page the 'sold' date is stuck at yesterday's date. And is rolling forward every day, If I try to cancel the sale using the reason 'buyer has not paid' I just get the message about the buyer…

use Simple Delivery to reduce turnover?
A bit advice on behalf of a friend who has a business account on Ebay where she is looking at ways to reduce turnover to keep under the VAT threshold . She sells a lot of ites where the postage can amount to 20 - 25% of the items value and in doing so the turnover mounts up but the profits do not , last year she spent…

TV for local collection being bid on from all corners of the globe.
Hi, i recently got a good deal on a TV so i have listed my old LG 55" TV on eBay. Due to the size i only listed it for local collection, however after the listing ended it became clear that the buyer was not a local and wanted to pay to have it shipped to Jordan! due to the stand and no box it just sounded like a right…

'add item specifics that will be required soon' message
On the tasks section of my seller dashboard (private accounts) I am getting the above message, with the number of listings I need to amend. However, I've looked at the listings and can see nothing missing in the items specifics, I thought perhaps one of the optional ones might now be highlighted as required, but nothing.…
