USA Buyer

A buyer in the USA has tried to buy one of my items but is unable to do so.
I have checked and I am registered for the GSP. Is there a ban on selling to USA after Trump's tariffs, or am I missing something?

No ban as such but gsp items to the USA have been an issue for months now.
Supposed to be getting sorted but not happened yet..
You should still be able to add seperate International shipping options to the listing yourself and not use the gsp.
Just do a dummy run on the carriers site first though. Some like Royal Mail are charging the seller (you) the import fees upfront along with the postage cost0 -
For USA, you need to make sure Country of Origin is added to listing, even if GSP is already set. Just Revise the listing and the bit you need to edit is right at the bottom.XzavierWalnut said:A buyer in the USA has tried to buy one of my items but is unable to do so.

Country of origin was set as British. I have changed it to United Kingdom. See if that works.zackary71 said:

Do I have to click this box?
"Display your listing on eBay US and Canada site — fees apply"
The buyer can already see the item, but cannot purchase it.0 -

The buyer can already see the item, but cannot purchase it.
That also puts your listing on the .com site (and you pay an extra listing fee)
If you are offering international shipping and the buyer viewing the .com site and searching for items 'worldwide' they will see it anyway.
Or the same if they go onto the .Co.uk site.
I think you are just experiencing the same gsp issues as others are.
Does it give you the option to add your own international postage if you revise the existing listing?0 -
I did find an international postage option, but cannot get it to work. Think I will give up on this.0

Just had another USA buyer asking if I can post to the USA. Advised them that it seems impossible now.
Has anyone in the UK sold anything to the USA in the last few months?0 -
Yes, more than once. Buyer paid global shipping program option, so that took care of the necessary paperwork and charges.
Make sure 'country of origin' in your item listing is set to UK (assuming it is a UK item you are selling).
