Wrong postage on eBay listing
Can anyone help me here?
I sold a few books in a bundle on eBay and for some reason put the postage as 87p letter rather than simple delivery (only noted when I came to generate the label).
It’s clearly not one of the exceptions from SD, not sure what I’m meant to do here. Am I meant to send it anyway even though it’s against the SD policy? Or I could apologise to the buyer and cancel the purchase and take the seller standards hit (I am a private seller - sell 1 or 2 items a month).
I have some stamps from the Spectos survey so could use those to send 2nd class small parcel with PoP?

You could possibly lose your books and payment using stamps. Personally I would buy my own label at the post office or online and enter tracking details onto eBay so you'll be covered. Put it down to experience—lesson learned.

Just send it using the original simple delivery label then ebay will charge you the extra based on the actual weight (plus a £1 admin fee)
EEasiest way around it.

yes I agree, I can buy a label through eBay so will do that and take the hit.

There is no SD label though as a standard letter isn’t an SD category. As above, the OP will have to pay the label out of their own pocket and take the hit. I’ve done exactly the same myself , it’s annoying but it happens.
