Evri Parcel
consequence - item damaged beyond salvage and thrown away by local Evri office prior to delivery.
I raised a complaint through their chat bot - have a record of this but no resolution yet despite being over the 28 working days. i couldnt attach photos of an item that was destroyed so didnt exist....Obviously i cant contact them by phone as i cant use the tracking number
how do i follow this up? is there any way at all
im happy to make a claim through small claims court

Most ebay sales are now simple delivery....so if you have proof of receipt by the parcelshop ebay sort it all out.

As above, did eBay provide the label or did you buy it?
If its eBay simple delivery then eBay should refund the buyer at no cost to you.

I'd exhaust every conceivable avenue before going to small claims. You'd need to prove your item was well packed and that Evri were wholly culpable. They may well have been but it can be tricky to prove to a judge. Small claims can rack up in costs if they defend and there's no guarantee you'd win.
Try them on X/Twitter and if that fails write a letter to their head office explaining that you want full compensation..0 -

to both of the above…my printer broke - i hadnt realised i could use a qr code, so went and paid for postage at the P.O.

Hopefully not an ebay simple delivery item then as the label is used to track the item, if you haven't used a SD delivery label then you have a very short window in which to claim the label cost back.

Unless it is in an excluded category it almost certainly will have been Simple Delivery. It is hard to see how op reached the conclusion they couldn't use the qr code as this is the message

Presumably there is some tracking information? You seem to know what happened to the parcel. And presumably there was a return address (the only time I have had a parcel damaged during transit evri returned it to me.)

Evri have told me the parcel was damaged beyond repair and have not delivered it. I've raised a complaint that was supposed to be resolved in the middle of January. Theyve given me a reference number. Im now unable to find anyway to follow up with Evri to find out any information regarding the reference for compensation.

Yes all tracking information - all of which was added to the Evri complaint - as yet no correspondance in return from Evri
