Lloyds club account
Hello!I opened a basic Club Lloyds Account account in June 2014 and found out from Google that in April 2023 they increased the minimum monthy amount to be paid in from 1500 to 2000, I don't remember getting and comms on that but perhaps I did. Anyway, I have continued to pay 1500 each month and the monthly £3 fee is…

However what I am struggling with to wrap my head around is the fact…

Bank accounts for community voluntary group
I've searched the forum and there are numerous posts on this subject. But many of them are old, and offer recommendations or links to providers and products that are no longer available. So I'm asking questions in a new thread. My wife is chair of a small local voluntary community group which looks after gardens,…

Making Regular Payments to France
I want to send a regular monthly payment of £100 (equivalent) to my 14 year old grandson's existing account in France. I can do this easily enough 'fee-free' using my Lloyds current account. However, the receiving bank seems to feel justified in charging 14.75 euros for accepting the deposit; obviously this does not make…

HSBC UK & paying in Australian $ cheque
I opened a HSBC account as I was receiving a cheque from my Australian pension fund (they don’t do transfers) & my existing bank doesn’t accept them. I went into the branch (full service cashier) & they said the cheque had to be sent off to be processed. This is fine however I was then told there is no way to discuss this…

NatWest Negative Interest
Hi all, Woke up this morning to some unusual transactions on my NatWest account. A number of 'Interest' payments (they were categorised by NatWest as that) of random negative amounts being deducted from my balance. On the 2nd October I received £788 from CR LTD. I have looked everywhere online and cannot see who this company is. I’ve asked the bank and they aren’t much use with information. TSB Switch - new account creation issues?
Hi, Bit confused on setting up this new TSB account to get the £100 switch bonus (plus £15 per month after that for a while) Going through the motions, to want to apply, it seemed to only be able to be applied for on the app rather than the website. So I downloaded the app, started creating the account. Nowhere during the…

I've recently begun the switch to TSB to take advantage of their £100 + £90 offer. I've activated my account today and it's all up and running. However when I attempt to send money to the new TSB account, I get a text message (from the account I'm sending the money from such as Chase and HSBC) stating that the money cannot…

Recent budgeting win
Just wanted to say how rewarding and relieving it's been since I started using a budgeting app a few months ago. Everything is organised, the money is ring-fenced, and we adhere to it, no overspending. It really makes me think about what I "need"and "want" in the moment. If I can't afford it now, I add it to my basket and…
