I'm pretty sure my parents have both their state pensions paid into their joint account.

My wife and I have our state pensions paid into the same joint account.

I see so many fake/false/misleading YouTube videos nowadays.

The account has existed for 10 weeks in which time they've produced 60 videos with clickbait-ey titles.
I'm not going to give them any views, but they seem bogus to me. Don't believe anything you've seen on the channel without verifying it elsewhere - ideally from a UK government web page.

Joint account is fine, both our state pensions go into our joint account on the same day every four weeks. Gov.uk is the government website for most things . I would always try there first for information the search facility is useful. This site is my first look, followed by MSE site

What does fake mean?  Anyone can set up a youtube account and produce videos on any subject they like. some are good, some are rubbish.  I don't think this is an official government youtube channel if that is what you mean. The American accent put me off straight away.

Is Martin as in 'Martins Money Saving'  fake?   When he started he was just some bloke giving advice and now he has morphed into a respected money expert. When looking for information you just need to go to websites, youtube channels, tv/radio, newspapers, magazines that have a good reputation in that area - or the official government ones.

There is nothing on that youtube account to explain who is running it, what their credentials are and where they have come from. So, no I wouldn't trust it.

A joint account is fine. What you do need to avoid is getting your state pension (or any other income) paid into someone elses account - such as your spouses - as you'd then be potentially left without money if they became incapacitated or died and you could not access the account.
