Morning so i switched my account from nationwide to Santander edge account had a phone call from them Monday to say i have a Synectics solutions marker? I can still keep my basic account but they will be closing the edge in 60 days? Ive checked CIFAS just to be safe and thats clear i know the bank didnt mention them but i thought it was best to check. my starling account is still open? has anyone been through this before.

I guess it is in the nature of fraud prevention that the actual mechanisms and information used by the lenders when they decide to "list" an individual or organisation is less than transparent - and consequently any attempt by a listee to get an entry rescinded will be tortuous.0 -
Are you sure the phone call was actually from Santander? Normally they will write to you about these sort of things, not talk to you over the phone.If they've specifically mentioned Synectics Solutions, it's be worth submitting a DSAR to see what data they hold that has spooked Santander. Not all the banks use them, so it could be that Starling don't and haven't seen the data, so they have no reason to close your accounts.Also worth requesting data from CIFAS (direct DSAR, rather than the markers on your credit report) and National Hunter of you haven't already, to see if there is any other data from the other fraud prevention services.2
