Leaving Virgin Media - they've changed my leave date!
Hi, I was on an 18-month contract for phone and broadband. Starting in Jan 2021 and ending on 13th July 2022. I signed up for BT broadband and phone at the end of May 2022, with the new service to be installed on 11th July 2022. 2 days later I got an e-mail telling me that my contract had changed with Virgin Media. The…

Short Term Broadband deal
I'm moving back to my house next month (which I've been renting out). It's possible I may sell it but not immediately and I need broadband in the property. If I sell soon I don't want to be in a long term contract. I'm wondering what my best option is based on my situation.

Right to Cancel during contract
I have been with TAlktalk since 6 Jun. On 20 Jun my speeds dropped to 100 Mbps and I’m meant to be guaranteed 500Mbps. On 4 Jul the connection went altogether! I know that I can cancel without fees if I suffer 30 days of below guaranteed speeds, but is there a shorter period for no connection at all?

BT Broadband Mid Contact Tips
Hello so I'm in a bit of a situation. I renewed by 18 months ago so long before Ukraine and inflation but now I have ended up paying 55 a month for 500mb connection while hyperoptic offering 28 for two years! Has anyone been able to get price drop from BT mid contact?

A word of warning about taking up long term Broadband offers
Today I have heard two ads for Broadband at eye watering prices on the radio, but what was worse was the fast speaking terms at the end. TalkTalk will be adding CPI+3.7% in March for their 2 year contract EE will be adding CPI+3.9% in March for their 2 year contract According to Radio4 CPI is forecast to be between 12% and…

Switching from Virgin to another Internet provider
Apparently o2 work together with Virgin and persuaded me to sign up to £52 for Virgin telly and internet and £10 for a phone for 18 months. I wasn't really that interested in an extra phone sim but signed up anyhow. Now they've taken £15 alongside my £10 (regular payment) on same day. I'm furious because their customer…

Broadband contract advice
I have just ended my virgin contract as the price will double if a continue, I'm struggling with finding a similar fast provider that doesn't charge for land line installation. Is it sensible/worth renewing BB contract with BT early?
Currently paying £22.99pm for Fibre 1 BB which gives me 80/20 speeds ( just as if I was on Fibre 2). Contract due to end on 1st December. I have just had an email offering an "early renewal deal" but I'm not interested in any of the dearer packages as I don't need anything better than I have. I did notice that I can renew…

Sky & BT Sport on Community Fibre
Does anyone have any experience of getting Sky Sports and BT Sport when you're broadband is with Community Fibre. Presumably, you can get NOW TV and BT Sports on the app on your Smart TV and pay for them monthly? Also, could you use an old Talk Talk Youview box as a Freeview receiver so you wouldn't need to get the…

Problem with Virgin Media
I have been a loyal Virgin Media customer for 20 years and every time my contract finishes I’m able to get a good customer loyalty discount from them that I can afford and is cheaper than the competitors. Anyway, my 18 months contract with them with broadband and landline is due to end again and my bill has now went up. I…

Can you use ANY of the various Three Pay Monthly SIMs in a Mifi device for Broadband?
Not sure whether this is for the Mobiles thread, or Broadband. Can anyone clarify the answer to below please? On the "Three" website, they list deals for "Pay Monthly SIM Only Deals" and it says on the page that the benefits include "Personal Hotspot" in the UK. Currently doing Unlimited Data on a 24 month contract for £22…

broadband cooling off period
hi all two broadband companies have told me that the 14day cooling off period starts on the day you sign up and not when your service goes live.. given that it takes 2 weeks (at least) for the kit to arrive and get started, this gives you no time to see if the service you have committed to works or is right for you..…

Help ( part 2 )
Apologies for reposting this again. I was responding to shiraz99 and tried to do a quote return message and for some reason won’t let me post it. Anyway if you are still there, Shiraz, the answer to your last question regarding Now b/b is that I used to have fab fibre with them.

Are Broadband providers just playing it safe?
I nearly signed up for the Vodafone £205 deal but was put off by a number of things, one of which was a low guaranteed speed of 27mb whether I chose 36mb or 65mb So after reading other posts on this forum I saw a referral to BT checker and got the listing below. If I am reading this right I should be able to get 65mb or…

Hi, Id like a faster internet connection. BT have offered me a 24 month contract at £49.99pm. This is their Full Fibre 100 Halo 3 with Complete Wi-Fi package. How is it fair to have a 14 day cooling off period when it takes 14 days to be connected?
I ordered Plusnet's VDSL2 ("Unlimited Fibre Extra" - average speed of 66Mbit download). It took 14 days for it to be connected, and then another 14 days for their line tests to settle on the final speed, which is 36Mbit - the same as their cheaper VDSL1 package ("Unlimited Fibre" - average 36Mbit download). The cabinet is…
