Need short-term broadband, 5G Router best option?
We are in the process of selling my mum's home (she has moved to a care home). Her BT contract ends in March and they do not offer a monthly contract. I have had a look around and can not find a monthly broadband contract, is a 5G router the best option? My mum's house is in London and O2 have 5G where she is. Any advice…

Virgin costs.
2022, we were paying £65 per onth for BB. No TV or other extras. I complained and they eventually reduced this to £25 per month. Now just got a letter saying that was a special offer and it will come to an end in April. Back up to £60+ Happy with service / speed etc but not the cost. I will call and threaten to change but…

Onestream compatible routers?
I have signed up for Onestream Fibre 80, but the router is extra! So I clicked to supply my own (I may regret this, but can change later). My neighbour has a spare TP-Link Archer AC5 1200, which has similar connections to my current BT router. Would this be compatible please? Thanks.

fibre broadband
Please be aware that if you upgrade to full fibre broadband you might lose your landline and phone number. I have just upgraded with plusnet (BT in disguise) and they have switched off the landline as they do not supply VOIP (voice over internet protocol) they tell me. Unfortunately, they didn't tell me that when they…

Ending broadband, what happens to phone line if not switching
I'm about to move home, and currently have an expensive broadband package as I wanted to remain out of contract to leave penalty free in the next few months. There's going to be a period in between moving homes where I won't need the broadband at my old home and won't be switching broadband providers in the old home. What…

Jurassic Fibre
Hello, Has anyone had any experience with Jurassic Fibre? I live in a flat built in 2017. The adjoining houses can get FTTP via Openreach, however the flats are stuck on FTTC. Jurassic Fibre have said that they can install, however I'm a bit nervous about trying an altnet provider and moving off of the Openreach network.…

Visible cable in garden. Who to contact.
Hi, just moved into a new house and tidying up the garden today and noticed a cable going from an access plate thing in the pavement over the pavement before going under a flower bed. Luckily I didn’t chop through it, but I’m assuming these cables shouldn’t be on the surface. Any idea who I should contact to get it sorted?…

Cancelling BT contract in partners name and reopening in my name?
Hi all, bit of advice needed. Currently with BT and have been for several years. Our broadband contract is with BT and we pay £65 a month – it was only recently renewed in September when we moved house, so getting out of it is probably going to cost me a £££ fortune. But we can upgrade to 900mb Fibre for free. Our BT…

Broadband Mid-Contract Price Rise
My contract with Plusnet expires in a few days I have managed to negotiate a couple of discounts but immediately after my contract renewal email (minimum was 18 months), I received an email saying it would be going up by £3.40 in March, so that has wiped out most of the discount! I know that OfCom are looking at this but I…
