Shell Broadband: £35 charge for non-return of returned router.
A bit over 18 months ago I moved my grandmother (87) to Shell broadband. Although the supplied router wasn't anywhere near as good and the line speeds significantly lower it was cheaper than who she was with (NowTV) and Alexia still worked despite added issue of markedly reduced WiFi coverage. So she was happy and…

No broadband in 14 weeks - Openreach being obstructive - New build property
Hello all. I'm hoping you can help me find a resolution to a battle I've been having with Openreach since January. In short, I'm the owner-occupier of a new-build flat that I moved into January 2023. Since moving in, I haven’t been able to get a broadband connection. The essence of the problem is my property has full fibre…

Does City Fibre use Openreach connections?
I am in the process
of transferring from TalkTalk Fibre 65 to Vodafone Full Fibre 100. The TT FTTP
was installed by Openreach but now I’ve been notified that City Fibre will carry
out the VF installation. Will this require another cable into my property with more
internal/external boxes or will they utilise the existing…

Saving on boosting my WiFi signal
I was with BT on their broadband complete service. This meant I paid them £5 extra a month to have a disc that boosted my WiFi signal. I was paying nearly £80 per month to BT. TalkTalk upload speed on Fibre 65
My guaranteed upload speed is 6.22 Mbps but I can't get more than 5Mbps on any of my devices. Even when I only have one device connected and it is a wired connection directly into the router. TalkTalk tell me that I am getting an upload speed of 12.1Mbps. That seems to be a huge discrepancy and I don't understand why.
