Sky broadband switch - Sky won't accept a uSwitch link to their website !!

I have just spent four days trying to switch my broadband to Sky and it's been an awful experience - I have abandoned it now and will go elsewhere.
I found the deal on uSwitch and having followed the link to Sky entered all my information. Each time the Sky website got to the same page and stoped with a 'technical error' message. I tried clearing cookies and also a different browser. Each time the same problem.
So I went to the Sky website, couldn't find any help there, and tried ringing them. After trying all the numbers they offered me on different routes through their help pages, every number got as far as asking me to enter my account number or the phone number on my account, which of course as a new customer I didn't haveI didn't have. In desperation I eventually found a customer service number on a third party website.
I then spoke to a lady who took all the same information I had entered five times on their website over four days. She then quoted me a different price. I told her the uSwitch offer and she said that was why the Sky website wouldn't complete the deal - 'they don't accept switching from uSwitch' !!!
So I'm going elsewhere. Dreadful company.

Having tried via CompareTheMarket the setup worked fine. So this is a uSwitch / Sky problem.
Sky should sort this out because it reflects badly on them. As for uSwitch.... you should talk to Sky too !!0 -
Could it be the deal on u switch is not available in all area's. Given the move to Fibre & the u-switch offers appears to not be fibre from the speed quoted.Life in the slow lane0
