Virgin Media Moving Home Confused About Billing
I'm due to move home on Saturday so I informed VM of this through their process of live chat which took forever! At 5:30pm, after speaking to a bot for half an hour asking me new address etc, I was then told I was being put through to a person and that the wait time was 29 minutes however the real person did not connect…

3 Broadband - any good?
Hi all I was wondering if anyone has any recent experience of 3 Broadband? I did do a quick search but couldn't find anything on here. I'm currently with Hyperoptic and I've been happy with them but my 2 years are up and my bill is about to go from £17.99 to £34.95. There's a current offer from 3 of 150mbs for £11 for 6…

Are There Any Good Broadband Providers
Tearing my hair out over continued speed problems with NOW Broadband. Whichever broadband provider I look at there seems to be very bad comments on here including TalkTalk, Vodafone, Plusnet, Pop and Onestream. Can anyone recommend a decent provider.

24 month minimum!
I live in a rural part of England. Our village doesn't have fibre internet, but it is "imminent" under a government scheme ("Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS)") to upgrade the worst communities. The provider chosen by CDS is Airband, and they say that the work is almost all complete and should be available in Q3 2024.…

Disappointing Service from POP Telecom
Having been a happy and contented customer of Shell Energy for 3 years, taking advantage of their Social Tariff, I decided to change provider tather than being locked into a 2 year contract with TalkTalk.POP Telecom was the top MSE pick. Signup for 18mths was straightforward. Ordered and paid £10 3 weeks ago for router…

Remote internet
Hi, I'll be in my home during the winter 6 months then remote travelling through England for the summer 6 months. I need internet on my MacBook for TV streaming, laptop for work (only downloading Excel data so nothing big) & my mobile phone. Is there a reasonably priced internet option for this situation? I have no idea…

Virgin broadband package/billing issues
I started an 18-month Virgin broadband contract in January 2023 for £24.95 a month. I moved home earlier this year and took my broadband with me. I thought that I would continue on my existing package/contract until it expired in July 2024, but Virgin have hiked my monthly fee up to £51 and signed me up for another…

Now broadband no Internet late at night
My contract is due for renewal. I started shopping around but realise providers are not offering land lines. I was thinking of taking the renewal offer with Now but there are a few issues that I've had. Occasionally I lose Internet, it's usually really late at night (I work from home on a late shift that ends in the early…

PLusnet renewal woes
I have been with plusnet 12 years or so. Each year renewal at a reasonable price has been a real struggle akin to haggling in a bazzar. This year clearly prices have firmed up and my initial renewal offer for fast fibre and anytime calls woud have pushed my monthly cost from £28.76 to £38.68 so 35% ish. Clearly things are…

Hi guys, I was just looking at my bank statements, and I noticed Shell Broadband are sending me a bill for £50!!! Broadband Signal Stregth
I have recently "upgraded" my system with EE. That old phrase "I don't know why I bother" seems utterly appropriate. EE told me at point of sale that they gurantee at leasst a 12mb signal. I told them "in your dreams" but they were adamant. We have always had a poor signal, so - in for a penny ........ The result. Three…

BT charging extras without asking
I have just signed up with BT (or is it EE?) I looked through all my confirmation emails to check what I would be paying. I have now received an email saying that my first bill was ready to view, online. On checking it, there was a charge for paper billing. But I was told by email to view my bill online? I double checked…

Why do I need two FTTP connections?
I've been renegotiating my Broadband and landline 'phone contract and I notice that telecommunication providers are pushing FTTP (to meet government targets?) and will arrange for an OpenReach engineer to make the last leg of the connection from the street outside direct into my property free of charge. Great, but...…

Onestream broadband warning
Like many people, I lead a busy life and had forgotten my renewal date. When I logged in, I discovered that my payments had doubled after the first year. Since I pay by direct debit, I hadn't noticed the price increase. They lure you in with an attractive initial price, but I never received any communication from them…

Cancelled FTTP order with Vodafone - they won't release my line
I ordered FTTP with Vodafone but cancelled because of very poor customer service. I've asked Vodafone to cancel 3 times but each time I try to order with BT I am told there is still an active order on my line so my order with them gets cancelled. Is there anything else I can do? As I say I've asked Vodafone 3 times now.

Virgin broadband renew contract sweet spot?
I am up for the end of broadband contract early next month and called my provider, Virgin, a few times to check what they can offer. The prices have just dropped by about 20% between the first quote last week, to todays quote. I tried to elicit what the structure of their renewal contract price strategy was , and the…

Ultrafast broadband - hey broadband
Anyone heard of or use hey broadband (hey broadband.co.uk) had a salesperson knock and they are offering ultrafast broadband (1000mb) for £25 per month and don’t have to pay until out of contract with our provider. We have seen vans about but don’t know much about them? Too good to be true?

Struggling to pay Virgin Media
I've recently lost hours at work, and had my rent and car insurance rocket up. I've looked at where I can trim bills etc Virgin media is one area where I can trim services etc to get costs down. After speaking to them and explaining my situation, they're unwilling to help. I'm more than happy to trim my service down to the…
