Trying to switch to Vodafone

Hi
I'm trying to switch to one of the current MSE Vodafone offers (online process) but coming unstuck when I reach the existing provider question! My current provider is Pop Telecom (a previous MSE recommendation) but because Vodafone doesn't recognise it I can't progress.
Vodafone chat says they can't help with a third party promotion so I'm apparently stuck!
Anyone come across this and found a resolution?
Thanks

Not sute why they would need to know this, if you want to port your number across thats a process you would have to initiate and not Vodafone.
What's the context in which they need to know?

vodafone want to tell your old provider of the change over date. That is the reason.
It's a problem if you want to port your old number across.
If you don't, I guess you could just randomly select any supplier, for the sake of trying to get the offer, noting its possible it may fall through later1 -
Tried the ‘other provider’ trick and they then ask for an account number which I don’t have so the process stalls!Maybe I need to say I currently have no broadband then manually cancel the existing connection on the switchover day?0

Try your pop account number lol ! or any random digits
If both old and new use the OR network, I guess confusion could happen
and you would pay an extra months worth of bills, as you need to give 30 days notice. (or more if you aren't out of contract. )
So make sure the deal is still really good!1 -
Solved by telling Vodafone it’s a new install and manually cancelling my old contract with Pop. They’ll send an Openreach engineer and he’ll be delighted when he realises it’s an easy job because the line is already installed!1
