My contract with Plusnet ended three months back so the price went up to £35 per month. I rang to cancel the service on 5th August but was initially told it could not be cancelled until 19th August. I reminded the agent that I was no longer under contract and he agreed to request a cancellation Immediately. I just checked…

Virgin Media broadband offers not working
Something is broken relating to linking from the MoneySavingExpert broadband comparison tool and the Virgin Media website. When clicking on one of the offers to sign up and get a £95 gift card, the link to Virgin's site just results in a '400 Bad Request' error page. Is it just for me this is happening? Thanks!

Confusing Now Broadband renewal email
Just got my renewal notice for Now Broadband but the offers are somewhat counterintuitive. I'm currently paying £22 per month for their Super Fibre product incl. Anytime Calls. The first thing the email states is the new price based on what I already have of £30 pm with the option to call and redeem that offer, the next…

Hello - my MIL wants to leave Virgin. She has a BT line which has been inactive for about 15years. If she wishes to change to a package which requires a BT line will the new supplier happily/easily be able to reactivate the BT line? Is it best if she declares this up front when contacting new suppliers? Guess there's a…

EE Broadband contract
Hi, I am 11 months into a 24 month contract for EE Broadband with basic Apple TV. I am astounded to be paying £49/month when similar deals seem to be around £25/month. Any tips on how to terminate on the basis that I am being overcharged (without paying the £350 early termination fee)? Are there any rules around what EE…

Vodafone Deal - Not available
Hi I can see a deal on the comparison tool with Vodafone I want to take up (24 month contract, £30pm, 900Mb) but when I click through to the Vodafone site it's not there. I've tried contacting Vodafone but they're not aware of the deal and even said MSE is a 3rd Party so they would end up just cancelling the order anyway.…

WARNING re switching to current Shell top deal.
I did this on the 26th of June, from Plusnet. I was given a 13th July switch date. 13th arrives, no switch. However it appeared on the 14th. Excellent. Lots of faffing to change Alexa over but I got it done. On the 15th I receive two emails from Plusnet welcoming me back since I'd cancelled the switch. I did no such thing…

Presently…

Shell broadband speeds plummeted after “upgrade”
I was previously with Shell broadband on their “Superfast fibre” package, getting reliable download speeds of 36-38mbps with upload speeds of around 10Mbps. When my contract ended they offered me an upgrade to “Superfast fibre +” for a lower price, so naturally I switched. For the first 3 weeks I was getting perfectly…
