Broadband without phone

I am with BT, currently pay £38 a month for unlimited broadband plus landline and phone.
I don't use the landline phone but need the landline for broadband so what are my options?

On the assumption that you are out of contract and free to switch, you could:
1) negotiate a better price with BT, or
2) switch to another Openreach based provider who can offer a better price, or
3) move to a full fibre service if you have one available to you, or
4) look at a mobile internet service with a suitable data allowance or unlimited SIM0 -
Every time I go to renew they give me a lower price with phone than without.

Well i get around 35 mbps with BT broadband but i get 70 mbps in my house on my EE mobile and around 300 mbps just outside.
But can i rely on mobile internet for my house? Can you use it that way, i would need unlimited as i am a heavy user and how many connections can you use with mobile wifi? 2 TV's, 2 Laptops, Kindle, printer, etc.

£24 - VM100 (Virgin Media)
Broadband only. Take a look at that if you want, you have to go through uswitch website in order for the offer to apply.
My brother just signed up for it after it was disconnected on Friday due to me moving out soon.Save £12k in 2019 #154 - £14,826.60/£12kSave £12k in 2020 #128 - £4,155.62/£10k0 -
for FTTC broadband services over Openreach network typically you can't have broadband without a Voice service. If you are on an updated exchange with FTTP broadband then you may be able to, or switch to another non Openreach fibre service like Virgin who may offer BB without voice.
On FTTC essential the voice service is there, use it or not but the price is what it is. Just seek out the best deal you can get for broadband and don't use the voice element.

Is the 35Mb because that is what you are paying for. Typically BT has a 34Mb and a 72Mb service. If you are on the first you won't get faster than what you are getting even if the line can support it.
Do a broadband speed check to see what the line can support. https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL0 -
35 is the max but they will let me upgrade to a more expensive product with a higher max speed (but the same actual) but the end result will still be 35 mbps and a higher bill.0

You can now get broadband without a phone service from some Openreach based providers , and not just those on OR FTTP ( fibre to the premises ) , not all providers offer this though , BT do , a new BT customer can chose no phone service with broadband and it’s officially £5 cheaper per month , but it’s not just a discount because you don’t make calls , you don’t get a phone number , so no incoming calls , no dialtone , so even emergency calls are not possible,
With existing BT customers negotiating a new deal , it’s not as clear , switching to the no phone service broadband product is still available but with existing discounts, promotions etc. the saving from phone and broadband to just broadband may be much less than £5.
Obviously if someone was paying for a call plan , which would be stupid if they didn’t make any calls , that cost is also removed with no phone service .
if someone has a line that is only capable of 35Mb because of the distance from the cabinet , then the 40Mb profile is the obviously choice , because the other profiles 55 and 80Mb are unobtainable due to the line length , so if those profiles costs more ( generally they do ) it’s an unnecessary expense, unless the higher upload speed is worth paying for , but if the line cannot max out the download, it’s unlikely the theoretical upload increase from 10 to 20 Mb will actually amount to much.0 -

I don't use the landline phone but need the landline for broadband so what are my options?£38 is a rip off. 35mb BB + phone line only can be had for as little as £20 per month - rebate / cash card offers make that even lesshttps://www.moneysavingexpert.com/compare-broadband-deals/
