EE Broadband contract

Hi, I am 11 months into a 24 month contract for EE Broadband with basic Apple TV. I am astounded to be paying £49/month when similar deals seem to be around £25/month. Any tips on how to terminate on the basis that I am being overcharged (without paying the £350 early termination fee)? Are there any rules around what EE can charge new customers, or if they have to offer the same to current customers?

There are no rules about offering existing customer and new customers the same deal. Did you not check the market when you signed up?
Apple TV will also have a subscription cost which will be be built in, meaning that unless the £25 a month offers also include this then you are not comparing the same thing. Although this should only be £4.99 per month so still means a significant saving.
Not much you can do really as you signed up to that contract.
You could see if they will offer you a new deal to sign up to at a lower rate(usually restarting a new 24 month contract

Just looked at the EE site and the AppleTV add on currently seems combined with BT Sport at £14.99 a month. Do you have that add-on, or is it just Apple TV+ and how much is that as part of the contract.
Looks like their current offer is £27.99 for up to 72Mb and £2.28 for a basic landline, making £29.28 per month without any TV offers. There are then other add-ons such as Smart Wifi for £10 a month.
What is your contract made up of?0 -
Hi, we signed up for BT Sport as far as I know as the family watched it last season. My husband was moaning that there was no BT sport yesterday which prompted me to look at the bill, hence why I was shocked to see we pay so much. However, our itemised billing doesn't list BT Sport. I think I need to give them a call. Just putting it off as I can't stand scripted customer service agents.
I did shop around at the time we signed up. This monthly cost even includes a £5 discount as we were EE mobile customers.!
