Beat My Quote! Travel Agents Thread
What’s this about? This is a special thread where you can ask all the Travel Agents and MoneySavers who frequent this board to beat a holiday quote you have and get personalised replies. The idea is to see if someone can beat a quote for a specific holiday; not just a general price. So you need an exact quote. E.g. "I've…

If/when anybody has experienced the biometric data recording procedures on or after that date it would be appreciated if it could be shared hereabouts. It applies to all EU member countries except Ireland and Cyprus, plus…

Yes, I know. Is there anything we can do now…

Hi, I am travelling with Etihad to Sri Lanka via Abu Dhabi in June. I have packaged insurance with my bank account and the trip was booked way before the current USA / Israel / Iran war. MSE News: Holiday disrupted by Middle East conflict? Help with cancellations, surcharges and more
Continued conflict in the Middle East has made things more uncertain when it comes to booking and going on holiday. Egypt
We like to go to Egypt for snorkelling and have been many times (upwards of 30) but notice that Masa Alam is not coming up at the moment. I'm thinking it's probably because of the 'war' but it doesn't seem much closer than Hurgurda or Sharm. I have looked at Tui, Easy Jet and First Choice. Any ideas?

Hi all. I need some advice in relation to obtaining a full refund for a package holiday and I’m not getting anywhere really. I booked a package holiday (hotel and flights) with lastminute.com for next week. This was booked months before the war began in the Middle East. Since then, the FCDO advice has changed to avoid all…

Help me choose travel insurance
We received our renewal notice for annual travel insurance today from Staysure and the premium has leapt up from £333 to £450 and that's supposed to include a £129 loyalty reduction. We've not made any claims and everything is the same except for being 1 year older. Looking at the mse recommendations, I checked out LV…

Applying for new passport but old passport lost in transit.
On Friday 23rd January, my husband and myself both applied for new UK passports. My application is going smoothly. They have confirmed that my old…

Holding back on booking flights because of jet fuel shortages?
How much is this affecting your holiday decisions? I already have 1 trip in May which I booked before the current events started. I had other plans for June to September but I am reluctant to risk flights at the moment. I am considering Eurostar or UK trips.

Holiday cancellation due to jet fuel shortage - covered by insurance?
With the balance due in the next two weeks for our Jet2 package holiday; if there was a cancellation due to a Jet fuel shortage (only 6 weeks supply in Europe being reported on TV), what protection do people have if the holiday is cancelled for this Reason? Would it be considered due to an act of war in terms of insurance?

Dubai with Emirates Holidays Late June 26
Looking for advice and wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. I booked a package holiday with Emirates Holidays back in February — flights with Emirates and 4 nights in Dubai, late June. I was due to go on holiday with a firm called Distant Journeys but my wife injured herself so we had to cancel some weeks beforehand.
