Mobile Phone help for a dummy
Currently I have a desktop computer and landline phone and I've seen much cheaper broadband deals without the phone. So I'm thinking about doing away with the landline and getting a cheap mobile but need a lot of help as I really know nothing about them. Thinking of buying one outright. What are people's thoughts on that?…

Help buying a smartphone
Hi I need to buy a sim free smartphone but have never bought one before so not sure what I need to consider. I imagine I will be using it to check yahoo emails, internet banking, facebook and watch things on YouTube mostly. Plus calls and Whatsapp and text messages. I would also like to get a case for my new phone to…

Sky sim only 1GB + unlimited calls & texts for £1/month
I think Sky have offered this before, but it isn't a standard price from them. https://www.sky.com/shop/mobile/plans/ 1 GB plan shows the standard price as £8 a month, but has a banner lower down saying "Now £1 a month". I've never used Sky for mobile, only for TV, and they can be a pain. Also the price isn't guaranteed to…

UR.co.uk
Avoid this company. I sent them my phone, I knew it's condition, I have photos. It met all the criteria for their max valuation. I received a reduced offer based on it's condition, when I called to ask what the problem was, I was told that it was probably due to the market value, as it can fluctuate. When I said that their…

O2 Mobile Renewals
OK - so a few years ago, we both got our sim-only airtime plans from O2 via Money Supermarket. Only £8 for 32GB. We are also Virgin customers, so having O2 mobile contracts, has enabled the VOLT bolt-on where we get double the data allowance (64GB) and our broadband speeds are also bumped up. The initial contracts expired…

Vodafone Entertainment Pack - YouTube Premium gone
For about the last 7 or 8 years I've had a mobile contract with Vodafone, primarily because they have offered YouTube Premium as an optional 'Entertainment Pack' on some of their contracts. I use YouTube very regularly, every day. My current mobile contract expires on 28th August. I noticed today that I've started seeing…

RWG's New Website, Plans and new Charges
RWG's new site has been up for a few days now and several of us have been having a few issues with a variety of things, so I thought it a good idea to start a new thread rather than have spurious comments spread over two other RWG threads. Logging in was my first problem. Although it obviously recognised my email address…

SPUSU - WARNING!
I ported my number across to Spusu from Lebara as Lebara uses the Vodafone network and the 5g coverage is almost non existent. Seeing as Spusu run on EE, which I've never had a problem with in all the years I've used MVNOs, I thought it was a good move. How wrong I could be! Porting was smooth, no issues. The problem began…

Lebara Woes
Following MSE expert advice and sim recommendation for Worthing, Sussex - I left O2 and arrived at Lebara. I clicked a link on MSE for the offer, followed through to Lebara and succesfully got my SIM , then ported it over. Took a WEEK for the sim to allow data etc, but - hey ho. Working. Then I did the same for my wife and…

Virgin Broadband and O2
We have just signed up to Virgin broadband in my name. My wife has an O2 account in her name and we want to link them both for Volt benefits. I just seemingly went through the steps it was saying to link the o2 account to my virgin media one but right near the end it said do i want to go ahead and transfer the virgin media…

Nothing phones
Does anyone have any experience of this phone company? I've used Motorola devices for years, but their security updates aren't great. I'm trying to decide between buying Moto g77 and nothing phone 3a lite on Argos - both on offer. 3a looks interesting and security updates until Oct 2031 compared to Jun 2030 for the g77.…

Buying a refurbished phone
I am looking at buying a refurbished phone listed as 'very good condition' (This product is in very good cosmetic condition with only light signs of use. It has been fully tested and works perfectly.) I have read the guide about buying refurbished phones and would like to know, what to look for regarding warranty, etc ? as…

Avoid Lebara
I purchased a Lebara sim five weeks ago having seen it recommended on this site. I ported in my number from three immediately and have not been able to receive calls or texts other than from anyone on a Vodafone network which Lebara uses since then. I am able to make calls and access internet. I phone customer services…

Samsung A16 - Easy Mode
I am trying to find a suitable smart phone for a cousin in his mid 80s to replace his old dumbphone which has died. He only needs to make and receive calls and texts, check emails and when he gets used to it I expect he will try a bit of browsing (weather forecasts, touring caravan sites, places to visit whilst on holiday…

budget phone
I don't know much about phones. I've had a Moto e6s for several years, but the battery now runs down quickly, so I need a replacement. I don't use it much, so I'm on PAYG. Mostly I receive calls, texts and emails, but sometimes I also make calls and texts. Occasionally I use web access when away from home. I almost never…

Overuse of smartphones
Ten plus years ago, I was concerned about the overuse of smartphones; it must be really difficult for todays parents. I considered some sort of blocking device, as I could not ban the mobile itself because I lived apart from my daughters mother. I understand signal blockers are banned, but how do people cope today?
