Santander Amazon opening offer x2
I opened a new Santander Everyday account last week after seeing the £30 amazon offer just for opening (no switch required). Now they’ve launched a new £100 Amazon offer, this time requiring debit card transactions. I’ve looked at the T&Cs quickly, but can anyone confirm if I could go for this new offer as well?

My bank wants me to use the app (HSBC) I do not want it
Anyone else infuriated by the likes of the HSBC giving the only options of using an app or going to a branch, which are as rare as hen's teeth these days when things need doing. So a long and sometimes expense trek to get to a branch. The CEO earns millions of £'s, and yet branches are literally culled. Been with them…

Trouble getting rid of a subscription service
Hi, I subscribed to an online PT membership back in December, for what I thought was an introductory month however when they took another payment in January I raised it with my bank and got the money back whilst they investigated it. I had cancelled the service within the timescales so I don't know why they still took the…

Barclays Switch - BE AWARE
I’ve just opened a Barclays premier account through the app to get their current switch bonus. A requirement is that you transfer in minimum £4000 either within the switch process or as a separate deposit. So I transferred £9000 on payday to meet the criteria. I then went to move some of this money into a joint account to…

I want to switch banks but I feel I am locked in unfairly!
We currently have a fee-based Platinum account with NatWest that offers travel insurance etc via its membership services. In December when our policy renewed we took out medical upgrades, age upgrades and upgraded cancellation cover - almost £400 in total [on top of the monthly fee for the bank account]. I think we had…

Co-operative bank Base Rate Tracker - too good to be true?

Nationwide Fairer Share
Please be kind, a new medical issue means N/W FlexPlus Aviva insurance won't cover me for ANY declarations that haven't been a problem before. So pointless renewing on 1 Oct. Trying to find insurance cover has me too stressed to properly get my head round the Fairer Share for 2025......... I'll downgrade our Plus a/c to a…

Joint account switch
Hi all, Our Santander joint account is just a normal everyday current account since it was changed from the old 123. Therefore wanting to switch to a NatWest one for the switching bonus and the cashback. To open a NatWest joint account you must first open a sole account and then add the second person later on, however it…

Santander payments query
I know from past experience that when my Santander Edge Up has failed payments due to insufficient funds they retry later in the day. Does anybody know off the top of their heads what time their final try to take the payments is? I have a slight cash flow problem tomorrow I'm trying to navigate round.

Santander free forever bank account changes
Just got a letter in the post that Santander are changing my business account to £9.99 a month. I've had it a very long time and remember Santander trying this move before only to be told they can't because the original sign up material pushed it as being free forever. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Royal Bank of Scotland new pots
I have received an updated app today they now allow pots which are quite good. Yhe only downside compared to Kroo and TSB is that they don't pay interest on the balances in the pots but good if you want to divide your money. I did notice that they haven't updated the NatWest app yet and is still the old version.

In the app, open a second account3. Link the debit card with the second account4. Use that second account as a donor account for your Current…

Nationwide fairer share 2026 - cash deposits
I've read the guide on the site about maximising my chances of a 2026 Nationwide fairer share bonus, if indeed there is to be one. For the purposes of qualification I (likely) need to "In two of the first three months of this year, pay IN at least £500 from a non-Nationwide account (this could be your salary, for example)…
