Virgin Money app asking to register

My wife just tried to use the VM app and it asked her to register as if she doesn't have an account. She has had it for years as her main bank and also has RS. Mine is fine. Anybody else got this?

Just tried app on 2 Android phones - won't open on either.

I note that it was last updated in the Play Store yesterday.

Web access seems OK (in it's normal clunky way).

Mine stopped working after an update last week.

I have a Samsung galaxy & I've installed all my banking Apps in it's 'secure folder'

The Virgin App won't run from this - just opens with a blank screen and immediately closes.

Opened a current and deposit account two weeks ago.

Current Account App on Iphone working fine. The Deposit account is a standalone account and have only just got access today via a website login (Not App)

The people at Virgin Money were very helpful and got me there in the end. They did tell me that they were going through changes since they were bought out by Nationwide. One chap I was talking to apologised that he would have to call me back because he had to logout and change his password.

Maybe your issue is something to do with changes being implemented? I found Virgin Money to be really helpful on the phone if you have any questions.

Just tried a third Samsung, app working just fine. Unfortunately not my phone/account.

Glad I'm only using them for savings (& CC & ISA).

My wife phoned virgin. I've usually found them pretty good on the phone, but she got somebody very hesitant and pretty hopeless. In the end they asked my wife to end the call and try a different agent! 😆

Rather than do that again I suggested my wife uninstall the app and reinstall it. She had to re-register the app on her phone, but it worked fine after that. Obviously a bug occurred during the recent update.
