New switch offer launched today. T&Cs.

Exclusions:
- Anyone who has ever received switching cash from Ulster Bank, NatWest or RBS (but in reality we know that unless something has changed, they don't seem to check between banks).

Other information:
- Your £1,250 must remain in your new Select account for at least 24 hours. It can be paid in stages or all together.

This is the first switch offer from Ulster Bank in over 2 years. Unlike switch offers from the other banks based in Northern Ireland, it is open to all UK residents.

If the last offer is anything to go by, this board will be flooded by people asking "what's the nearest Ulster Bank branch to ……..?".
Answer: It's almost certainly Castlewellan.

Been reading online about how slow the Ulster sign up process is with it taking several weeks and needing paper documents to be signed and posted.
That was a few years ago, I hope since they have reintroduced the switching offer that they've improved the process. We'll see.

So it is identical to the the current RBS switch offer, RBS and Ulster all being part of the NatWest group.

Not quite identical, but almost. The RBS offer applies to both the Select and Reward accounts. The Ulster Bank offer only applies to the Select account (as they don't offer Reward accounts).
Other than that, they are the same, just different offer dates.

Sadly not available to those with an existing Ulster Bank current account (unlike other recent switch offers) but then again I only had that because Ulster Bank were offering top-of-the-table easy access accounts for the last year or so, so can't grumble too much!

Do you mean from this current offer? It's a bit early. Wasn't it only announced yesterday?
