British Gas refund of over £4,000 not received
I am the executor for an estate in which a property was sold in May 2025, the property had been empty since April 2024 and the gas had been turned off since then. I had been ringing them and giving meter readings between April 2024 and May 2025 but they continued to send estimated bills (none of which I paid as no gas was…

I've jsut moved in and want to switch providers
Hello I'm a first-time buyer and have just moved into my new home. The gas and electricity suppliers are British Gas and I've looked at setting up a tariff directly through them. However, their options - whether fixed or variable - are way more expensive than what I've seen on comparison sites (including some other British…

Using electricity in the barn that has not been paid for - HELP!

The water in the outside barn is supplied from the mains at the house and so was the electricity we thought as the old meter in the barn is taped up. Unaware to us it now seems this not the case…

April Tariff Changes and Direct Debit Recalc
I wonder if suppliers will re-calc Direct Debits after applying the new rates from April 1st. If they don't I can see lots of complaints from people who only focus on their DD that they haven't saved any money, and the suppliers will have more credit building up... I doubt they have considered it yet.

Octopus Tracker
I just wondered about people's experiences with this tariff and whether they feel they are winners or losers. I got a quote from them yesterday, and I have to say I find the numbers highly misleading. The figures are very attractive, beating even the good fixed rate tariff I got from Avro, but presumably based on an…

Petition
If not allowed, please delete - I don’t think this is political, even though it is something that I think at least needs a debate in Parliament. As this has been highlighted on the TV and by Martin Lewis himself, I think it should be given some legs. If Martin wants to raise awareness of this it would be great, but I am…

How long does it typically take for a new supplier to start receiving half hour meter reads? I was on Eon Next Drive and wanted to switch across to Octopus IGO but was told I first need to move across to a standard tariff. My switch went through yesterday(21st March) but at the moment I am unable to move across to IGO as…

Smart Meter IHD history
Hi, I've recently switched to Fuse and looking in the IHD's History section, when I scroll back through the past DAYS usage, it only shows me the usage figures for the last 8 days. I've been with them a few weeks so when I spoke to Fuse they said they had tried to push out the missing data to it from my first day with…

Hi, I've had to turn my heating off as I have oil and so looking at other options. My house is not suitable for a heat pump, but I have seen Sunsave offer a subscription solar panel option.
