Can you switch one Utility within the 14 day cooling off period?
I've always used dual fuel tariffs & have never thought of splitting them up with different companies so I was just wondering if you sign up to a dual fuel tariff could you then switch to a different supplier for gas within the 14 day cooling off period penalty free?
Or would that invalidate the electric tariff deal they gave you and not allow it?

Single-fuel gas switches are a bit of a rarity.
If your new gas supplier will accept a single-fuel switch, why not switch direct to them and make a separate single-fuel electricity switch?
Or, if your new gas supplier won't accept a single-fuel switch, you can make a dual-fuel to them and then switch electricity away later.
Perhaps you can name the suppliers and tariffs that you're considering?

I had just switched to Outfox Energy which has an excellent electric rate of 18.391p / 53.608p but Gas unit rate is higher than other dual fuel tariffs @ 6.062p / 28.825p
I have just looked at Gas only tariffs and realised they are all variable tariffs with no good fixed ones so won't be switching single fuel.
There is a cheaper Outfox dual fuel tariff out now (higher electric but lower gas) so not sure if Outfox would allow switching to it after just switching to them, also not sure if you can continue switching endlessly within the 14 day cooling off period as cheaper tariffs keep popping up every few days.0 -
A few months ago, I moved my electricity to eon next and took a fixed rate deal for gas with OVO, my existing supplier.
I’m not sure if this will limit my options when the fix ends.
