The percentages add some drama but overnight rate of 6.9p is still very good.

I have switched to the EON Next EV Fixed tariff as a result of this price rise. For me it works out a couple of pounds more than the price rise but its fixed for 12 months so will avoid the June/July price rise which I am sure Octopus will take advantage of!

This is Intelligent Octopus Go I think. Any other tariffs finding similar?

Just had an email from Octopus energy detailing their upcoming price hikes on the 1st May.
IOG 12m Fixed is still available, if you want to avoid any more surprises. (It's more expensive than your new variable rates, but you know it won't change for a year.)
EV rate 11;30pm to 5.30am up an astonishing 32.7%
Don't be so melodramatic. It's up 1.7p per unit and is still fractionally cheaper than it was in March.
