New TV - Suggestions please.
Hi folks, We are looking to get a new TV to replace our 32" model that we've had for about 10 years. We'd like the new one to be at least 32", HD, Smart and under £300. We currently only use freeview/dvds but we are considering wanting to watch things like Netflix and BBC iPlayer on the TV. All advice gratefully received.

Want to cancel Sky but have free channels available.
I want to cancel my £21 per month Sky package. I was looking at Freeview etc but a friend said as I already have a Sky box and satellite dish I'd still be able to get quite a few channels on that after cancelling. Would I simply leave the Sky card in the box after cancellation? Someone else said I'd have to pay £25 for a…

Easiest way to compare BB TV and Phones. Cheapest packages
Hi I'm out of contract with BT and I'm paying £24 pm plus £183 line rental for 1.5MB broadband, basic TV package and about 3 landline calls per month. Getting rid of cable TV
Last week, I sliced my bill from $212 to $75 without giving up the stuff I really watch. Cable and satellite companies lock away some content for subscribers. But you don't have to be an online pirate to see what you want.Broadcasters give away the most popular HD channels free over the air, and Internet video services…

Moving and ditching Sky quickly
After a recent thread posting (thanks all for your help) I'm going to ditch Sky and go either FreeSat or YouView in my new property My question is: we may be moving quite quickly but I do not want to cancel Sky/start the process until we know we are going and roughly when. Once we know and are all working toward an agreed…

Blocking iPlayer Live Streams
The BBC has recently started to add live iPlayer streams to some devices that previously only had Catch-up (and were therefore available to use without a TV Licence). My view is that this doesn't necessarily make the devices licenceable, but it creates more of a grey area than some people may be comfortable with. My…

BT Sports Channels vanished
There is never a dull moment! I normally get my BT Sports channels through my Sky+ box, as I am a sky subscriber. Suddenly they have all gone. I get a message saying there is no signal being received on those channels. All of my other Sky channels seem to be ok and I am reported as having good signal strength and quality.…

Stop Sky for 2 months then re start ?
I pay about £67 a month for my Sky package and I have a 2 month holiday planned for later in the year. Is it a simple matter to cancel the complete package for 2 months and re start it when I get home? Or should I just downgrade the package to the cheapest possible and restart when I get home ? Thanks in advance.

sky multi room with virgin phone line?
So chatting to the virgin salesman, he thinks that Sky HD+ on demand multi room won't work with a virgin phone line plugged into it. Something about the ability to buy on demand can't be activated through a virgin phone line??? Anyone know what this means and if it is true?
