i have a digital Ariel on the side of the house that was already fitted when we moved here.
basically signal is ok but sometimes i loose channels 5, usa, 4 happens quite often even to the point now that i dont watch series on there as probably wont get a picture next time i view,
yesterday i set up my friends tv via bt box and an indoor ariel in the loft
that tv receives a lot more channels than mine
my range is something like
1-9, 13-15, 24,28,33,120,121,130,200,307
on my friends there appears to be no missing channels
would this be down to my Ariel?

There is no such thing as a digital aerial.
Reception at your friend's house may simply be better despite being an indoor aerial, and/or the tuner may be more sensitive than yours.
It could be the reception, aerial, cabling, alignment, tuner...impossible to say.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Goto to your friend's house and do a retune - it'll find more channels. Go back to yours and check the channels. If you can get at the aerial, it may just be misaligned and you can improve your signal for free.0
