I may post links to this thread in the general CC board and Current accounts boards if I get few replies. Backstory: I use a unique (unguessable) email address[1] with every company that asks for one,…

Unemployment Centres
I have been advised by my union that unemployment centres (not Job Centre Plus) are a good source of information about dealing with problems with Job Centre Plus. I haven't been able to find one on line near Camberley, Surrey. Does anyone know the contact details of my nearest one? Thanks.

credit cards with 0% on purchases - not all they seem??
Hello all I am considering applying for a credit card which does 0% on purchases for 12 months (Tesco/Virgin/Sainsbury's/Barclaycard). Hello, I have an old credit card that I have just BT to a new card. The DD and a mistake in the BT total means that the old card now has a balance in credit by several hundred pounds. What happens when I ask to close this card? Will a cheque be sent/ bank credit to me for the balance? Anyone have any experience of this?
