STOOZING - phase two
so let's say i got a card and used it for purchases a la the martin method as described, so for example i had a credit limit of £1000. so i spend that £1000 on the card and saved that cash in a high savings account (along with any other saving i had but lets keep this simple). so then at the end of the interest free period…

Stoozing - is there any point with low it rates?
Is there much point in stoozing at the moment, unless it's to pay off exisiting debt? Interest rates are low and BT fees are at the same level? I stoozed quite a bit 4/5 years ago and made some money doing it, but I just feel it's a waste of time now? Anyone agree?

I want to transfer about £10k into my bank account to buy a 2nd hand car and pay it off before the 16mth deal ends. I don't think I'll have any problem getting the card as my credit rating is good and I have no other debt. 1. Is this…

Paying Balance Transfer rates first and purchases last
I just found out from my credit card company that all monthly payments go towards clearing any balance transfers first at the low rate and that any purchases made would be charged at the higher standard rate. Meaning, that they are making more money even though any purhcases using the card are more recent. This wasn't made…

How long until I'm a new customer?
Hi all, I've been slow stoozing for a while and working my way through most 0% deals. When the 0% deals come to an end I normally close the accounts. How long should I wait before applying to the same credit card company again as a 'new customer'? I'm on my second accounts with Tesco and Halifax, but left about a 12 month…

Santander Zero - very high interest on "free" cash withdrawalssh
A word of warning about the Santander Zero credit card overseas. Yes it does offer fee free cash withdrawals in Europe with no exchange rate loading BUT their repayment credit structure places cash transactions at the bottom of the list. I was away this week and withdrew cash using the card principally as the most secure…

Is it possible to benefit from the current credit card deals if you are already an existing customer with the card in question? For example, if the card is offering 0% on shopping for 6 months but you have already had the introductory interest free period?

Funeral costs
My Father-in-law passed away last year, my husband was devastated, and to cut a long story short thought the funeral would be paid by the local council - his father was in his 80's in care and the council were very unclear asking for a copy of the funeral bill to 'take care of things'. When my husband questioned them about…

Obtain mortgage in advance?
I think I might be in the market for a mortgage of around £50k in about 6-9 months time and i am concerned that recent press releases suggest that interest rates may soon start to increase significantly. My current property is mortgage free and I would be looking to move up the housing ladder. Is there any way that I could…

Best Credit Card to swap to ?
Hi all, I currently have an EGG credit card which I've had for about 8years now and i've always paid my balance off in-full at the end of the month.
