Agricultural Holding Act

Hi i am looking to buy some land but it has a agricultural holding tenanct act claim on it. the tenent is not willing to give it up and wants the land himself, the land is at a very reduced price because of this and looking at this act it is a mine field.
if i bought the land and wanted to work it myself could i give notice to quit to the tenant to get my land back and if so how long do i have to give and would i have to pay any compensation.....
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP......lol.....looking foir some advice please.
